Signature Events
At the Omicron Lambda Alpha Chapter, we seek to bring together our community in a myriad of ways, including with our marquee events, hosted annually.
Charter Day & Scholarship Reception
To celebrate our charter day, brothers will gather for a charter day reception on or around April 27 each year. Included as a part of this is our scholarship awards that we give to local high school students and college brothers to help lower the burden of higher education.
This coming year, we will celebrate our 75th Anniversary and do so with a Gala to take place on April 30, 2027. To learn more, visit the link below.
OLA CBC Reception
Each fall during Congressional Black Caucus’ Annual Legislative Caucus within Washington, D.C., OLA hosts a CBC Reception honoring our brothers in Congress. The event is also intended to energize our community to get and remain engaged in the political activities that affect each and every one of us.
The event now partners with the charitable foundation to try and riase money for scholarships for high school students within Washington, D.C, and collegiate youth within the Washington metro area.
Black Ice x DC Alphas
To Celebrate Founders’ Day, the DC Alphas gather each year to not only embrace the concept of One Alpha, but to also mark another year of excellence, service, and brotherhood.
Our Founders’ Day party is always one to remember.
OLA Film Festival
Annually, the chapter hosts a film festival, bringing together film makers from all over the country to highlight their work and provide an opportunity to be seen. The film festival boasts community attendance designed to be an evening of networking, fun, and the arts.
